I’m Catherine, a self-taught, passionate graphic designer. I was born and raised in a suburb just north of Toronto. I spent my childhood painting and playing video games.
My love of computers and art slowly formed into an interest in Photoshop and Illustrator around 12-years-old. Since then, I’ve dreamed of making the world more beautiful through branding and marketing design. Who wants to drive down a street with stores with ugly signs, right?
Currently, I live in Ottawa, Ontario, where I’m a full-time student at Carleton University. Somehow, I ended up in Communications and Media Studies instead of a Fine Arts program. Nonetheless, my knowledge of marketing and media gives me the upper hand when working on branding projects. As well, my interest in gathering data helps me make incredible infographics that persuade and move audiences.
Though self-taught, I worked with the Government of Canada at Status of Women as a part-time graphic designer for over a year, and now currently work full-time (for a summer co-op term) as a Marketing Coordinator at QC Career School in Ottawa.
As you can probably tell, my main focus as a designer is branding, logos, and infographics. However, I also enjoy creating various layout designs for magazines, apps, and websites.
My design is modern and minimalistic, but I can still capture the feel of a brand through simple colours and designs. I offer a budget-friendly option to get great designs, no matter what your organization or company’s goals are.
